Happy Birthday

Today is Heater's birthday. He is officially 11 years old today! To celebrate, he has received extra treats and scratches and more loving from his foster mom.

He shares his birthday with comedian Bill Engvall, Yankee shortstop Alex Rodriguez, 1968 Olympic gold medal winner, Peggy Fleming, actor Jerry Van Dyke and singer Bobbie Gentry (Ode to Billie Joe).

I think Heater is in good company.

Wag your tail when I come home
Make tail go in circles when I pet you
Nuzzle me when you want more petting
Look at me with those big beautiful eyes



Pop your head around the laptop screen when you want to play
Invite yourself into the bathroom when I'm in there - (I know you are telling me you want to b with me all the time, but I get the picture, it's ok, I can handle this on my own.)
Stay right by my side on our walks
And you are always happy to see me!

There is never a sad moment in this dog's eyes, he is an extremely gentle and kind dog. He bonds quickly with other dogs and with "his peeps"! And he LOVES the peanut butter!
